2023-2024
The administration received monthly reports on attendance and time spent. Counselors used the counselor dashboard to monitor flags for student risk.
How it’s implemented
- The school decided that the four-day model fits seamlessly into their already packed schedule.
- Counselors and teachers review the scope and sequence to modify it to meet their behavior goals.
- Students learn critical skills to succeed in middle school and become more self-regulated due to frequent check-ins and encouraged expression.
- Counselors are more in tune with students and develop meaningful relationships.
“Our teachers love the program because it enables them to teach SEL with little effort. Also, middle school students can learn such sensitive topics on their own when they don’t want to interact with a whole class on sensitive topics.”
– MS Counselor
“It’s a standalone program that I didn’t have to plan, and it’s a great SEL supplement. Even if I have 40 in a class, currently 25, I would not need to do anything. It’s all very self-sufficient. ”
